About
A Personal Note
My story begins in Douala, Cameroon, where I was born into a lineage that continues to shape my life today.
As a descendant of Rudolf Douala Manga Bell, I carry a connection to a history that is not distant, but lived—one that informs how I see the world, and how I share it with others.
Yet my life has never been defined by a single place.
As the son of a United States diplomat, I grew up moving between continents living across cultures, adapting to new environments, and developing an early understanding of the nuances that define people and place. This constant movement instilled in me a global perspective, but also a deep appreciation for identity and belonging.
My professional path led me into the legal world, where I spent over two decades working within demanding and highly structured environments, including experience with the United States Department of Justice and roles at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
That experience shaped how I think and operate bringing precision, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility to everything I undertake.
At the same time, another path was quietly developing in parallel.
For over twelve years, I have led cultural journeys to Cuba experiences built not around tourism, but around connection, exchange, and understanding. These journeys reinforced a belief that has stayed with me:
That the most meaningful way to experience a place is not through observation, but through access.
Eitel's Tours is the natural extension of that path. Not a departure but a progression.
Some journeys are discovered over time. This is one of them.
Through Eitel's Tours, Cameroon is not presented as a destination, but as a living culture.
Guests are welcomed into spaces that are rarely accessible including moments with the royal Douala Manga Bell family, and experiences rooted in the legacy of Rudolf Douala Manga Bell.
These are not experiences designed to impress.
They are designed to resonate.
I have always believed that travel, at its highest level, offers something far greater than movement. It offers perspective. A deeper understanding of others and, ultimately, of ourselves.
It would be my privilege to host you in Cameroon, and to share a journey defined not only by where you go, but by what you experience along the way.
